In 2018, I separated from my husband, sold my home, and after more than two decades in supply chain and procurement, I walked away. Burnt out and ready to replenish, I flew to Greece—a trip that inspired me to put pen to paper and follow my dreams. Those dreams turned into a blog (now a self-published book), led to my first podcast appearance, and, a few weeks later, relocation to Thailand for an intensive content writing program designed to help aspiring writers build their portfolios and hone their skills—a journey captured in some of the images on this site. During a challenging three months in Koh Samui—amid Thailand’s notorious hot season and faltering Wi-Fi—I teamed up with my newest friend and writing ally, Oliver J. Freeman. A writer with sharp wit, keen judgment, and an editor’s eye, Oliver had a talent for shaping rough ideas into polished prose. Together, we delivered work that met deadlines, exceeded expectations, and (sometimes) kept us up until dawn—covering everything from movie reviews to dental health to job recruitment blogs. But it was blockchain’s promise of supply chain traceability and accountability that lit the way to a new path. And it wasn’t just blockchain making a splash: IoT, big data, AI, and a wave of SaaS innovation were reshaping industries and driving smarter, more sustainable operations.
