About
Laura V. Garcia
Laura V. Garcia built her writing career on a foundation most content professionals only research from afar — two decades inside the machinery of global procurement and supply chain operations.
Before her pivot to editorial work, she managed sourcing and supplier performance for Keter, a multinational manufacturer, and held progressive procurement and planning roles with Hood Packaging Corporation. Her experience spanned every layer of the process — from forecasting and contract negotiation to logistics coordination and inventory control — giving her a ground-level understanding of how purchasing decisions shape business outcomes.
In 2019, after completing an intensive writing residency in Thailand, Laura shifted her focus to storytelling for the industries she knew best. Today, she works with publications and brands including Altium, Octopart, Industry Dive, and Procurement Magazine, translating complex operational topics into clear, credible narratives.
Her work explores the intersections of procurement, sustainability, data, and digital transformation, helping readers and decision-makers connect technical insight to strategic context.
Based in Burlington, Ontario, Laura continues to combine analytical precision with editorial clarity — bringing a practitioner’s perspective to every piece she writes.
